Fans feared the Hollywood hard man had passed away after vile pranksters spread a rumour across social media this weekend.

The rumours began yesterday when a fake news report, purporting to be by CNN, began circulating online.

It suggested Stallone had been found dead, and many fans were fooled into sharing it as a post on Facebook.

Many took to Twitter to share their condolences, with one de =vastated fan writing: “Is Sylvester Stallone dead or it was just a hoax? #StalloneDead?”

However, Stallone later dismissed the story by sharing a fun picture on his Instagram page to prove he is still alive and kicking.

The Rocky star uploaded a picture of himself pulling a punch-up pose with Russian boxer Sergey Kovalev.
