Nagpur: A mysterious fire broke out in the parking lot of Suyog Society, near Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir School in Trimurti Nagar at approximately 3:00 am on Tuesday. The fire engulfed six vehicles, including two four-wheelers, causing extensive damage before being extinguished.
Upon receiving the emergency call at around 3:25 am, fire personnel from the Trimurti Nagar and Narendra Nagar Fire Stations promptly responded to the scene. A fire tender from each station was dispatched to the location to tackle the fire.
Upon arrival, the fire personnel immediately began spraying water to control the flames. They were able to successfully extinguish the fire and bring it under control by approximately 3:45 am. The fire was contained within the parking lot area, preventing further spread to nearby structures.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to any individuals as a result of the fire. However, the incident resulted in significant damage to the vehicles involved. Preliminary estimates suggest that six vehicles were completely gutted, including three owned by Sudhir Wase (one Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and two 2-wheelers) and three owned by Manoj Thote (Maruti Suzuki), Vishal Meshram (Splendor motorcycle), and Sudhir Sawarkar (Kawasaki motorcycle).
The estimated financial loss due to the fire is approximately Rs 5 lakh.
Based on preliminary inspections, it is suspected that the fire was triggered by a short circuit. Further investigation will be conducted to determine the exact cause and any potential contributing factors.
Thanks to the swift response and efficient actions of the fire personnel from Trimurti Nagar and Narendra Nagar, the fire in the parking lot of Suyog Society was brought under control without any injuries to individuals. Efforts will now be made to ascertain the exact cause of the fire, taking into consideration the initial findings suggesting a short circuit.
