Nagpur: A building contractor has been booked by Kotwali police on charges of causing death of a 4-year old boy negligently. The deceased Siddhesh Sandip Shahu (4), resident of Juni Shukrawari, had accidentally fallen into a well on 29-12-2016. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital but doctors pronounced him brought dead. Kotwali cops, at that time, had registered a case of accidental death.
However, detailed investigation revealed that the building contractor Deepak Manohar Admane (40), resident of Old Nandanvan Layout, was given work of digging a well. However, the accused contractor did not take any precautionary measures such as covering the well with grill, installing warning board etc. The negligence resulted in the 4-year old kid falling into the well.
Kotwali PSI Sahare has registered an offence under Section 304(A) of the IPC against the accused building contractor.
