Born on August 4, 1929, Kishore Kumar became one of the most celebrated singers of Bollywood with his inimitable style and versatile voice. On his 84th birthday, we pay tribute to the man whose everlasting voice gave a song to every heart.
Kishore Kumar, who once followed Kundan Lal Saigal’s singing style, took no time to make a niche for himself in Bollywood as a singer. Kishore Da soon developed his own unique singing fashion which featured yodeling and went on to become an eternal heartthrob.
It was music director RD Burman who encouraged his singing talent and teamed up with Kumar to deliver many hit songs like ‘Maana Janaab Ne Pukara Nahin’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’, ‘Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka’ etc.
Today on his birthday, we pay our tribute to the singer with a list of some his best songs.
