Limited Adhar Card centres – a problem for common people

Nagpur News: People are now registering the importance of Aadhar cards and thus, rushing to register their names for the cards. But, limited centre for registration have left the citizen running hustle and bustle to get the registration done.

Earlier, there were plenty of Aadhar Card centres in the city but citizens were unaware of its importance. Now, when citizens are aware of Adhar Card, the number of centres has reduced to only 7. People are seen standing long day in queue with their family for the registration.

Government has given contract of Adhatt Card registration to Karvy Data Management. KDM opened 8 centres under the supervision of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. One out of these 8 centres has been started at Tip and Top Convent, Deendayal Nagar, only for the students. The centre will be open for registration till March 12 and NMC officials appealed the students to take advantage of this facility.

Other centres include

  • NMC headquarters, Civil Lines
  • Dharampeth Zone office, Gokulpeth
  • Buddha Vihar, in front of Anand Talkies
  • Hathi Building, Kamal Chowk, Jaripatka
  • Gurunanak Public School, in front of Gurudwara, Kamptee Road
  •  Lalit Public School, Wathoda, Ring Road.

While talking to Nagpur Today, District Collector Saurabh Rao informed that NMC took stock of registration centres and procedure on Sunday. NMC officials have no authentic information regarding Adhar Card registration centre.

Vigilant citizens have demanded opening of more centres for registration of Adhar Card. They demanded these limited centres are facing problems like pressure from powerful people to get the registration and thus, common man suffers. Increase in number of Adhar Card centre will help common man for quick registration.
