Nagpur: “The spot inspection will soon be made to finalize the model of the beautification of Zero Mile. The beautification will be made through contribution of corporate social responsibility by WCL,” said Heritage Development Committee chairman, Arun Patankar, IAS (retd) while going through the design of proposed beautification of Zero Mile, during a meeting held at LAD College, Seminary Hills, here in the city on Aug 25.
Present in the meeting were Committee member secretary Mahesh Gupta, member Ujwala Shirish Chankradeo, curator Dr Virag Sontakke, assistant director of town planning department, Meher and Nita Lambe.
In the meeting, Prof Priya Choudhary and Prof Anuradha Thikas jointly presented the construction-work of Primary and Secondary School building, managed by Women’s Education Society, Seminary Hills.
Prof Nita Lambe presented the proposal of Heritage Walk.
Discussion about raising of ‘high flag mast’ on a site at Kasturchand Park, close to Srimohini Complex, was held in the meeting. It was also discussed in the meeting that Nagpur city is 300 years old and it possesses 155 old things/ articles, which are not yet registered, so a proposal for their conservation must be prepared.
Also present in the meeting were WCL chief engineer Sandip Paranjape, NMC PRO Ashok Kolhatkar, Khardenavis and Murtaza.
