Nigerian national arrested for forging visa, overstaying

Nagpur: A Nigerian national was arrested from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here on the charges of staying in India illegally and forging visa document. The accused has been identified as Hujor Ugochukwi of Ekiza Lagos, Nigeria. Hujor entered India but neither registered himself with appropriate authorities nor extended his visa limit.

Moreover, the accused Hujor, whose visa limit was found till 15-12-2015, had forged the double entry visa sticker in the name of a Nigerian woman named Adly Santhy Wakechiku MR. The accused violated the visa rules and thus tried to dupe authorities for staying in India illegally.

Sonegaon PSI A K Vadatkar, acting on a complaint in this regard, booked the accused Nigerian national under Sections 420, 468, 471 of IPC read with Sub-Section 14 of Foreigners Act 1946 and placed him under arrest.
