Nagpur: Driver of a car had a providential escape when the running vehicle suddenly caught fire. The fiery incident occurred near Kamal Talkies Square on Sunday night. Fire Brigade personnel doused the burning car but not before a loss of Rs 30,000 to the owner.
According to Fire Brigade, Kalamna-based Ashok Jaiswal was driving his car (MH-31/CS 9666) and was going towards Kamal Talkies Square in Panchpaoli on Sunday night. When Ashok neared at the square, the car suddenly caught fire.
He somehow managed to get out the car and saved his life. Soon a heavy crowd gathered at the spot on busy road. Meanwhile, on being informed, Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and blazing car under control.
Panchpaoli cops too reached there and cleared the traffic. It is reported that short circuit in the car’s wiring was the cause of sudden fire.
