Showers greet Ramnavmi shobha Yatra in saffron Nagpur

Probably for the first time in the known past, Ramnavami shobhayatra in Nagpur saw the showers from heaven, as the devotees might believe. As the usually scorching day turns into a pleasant cool weather post afternoon on Friday, Shobhayatras taken out from various nooks and corners in the city were filled with multiplied excitement and fervor. The religious atmosphere reached escalated heights amidst the chants of Jai Shri Ram and DJ beats.

Separate processions were taken out from Mahal and Ramnagar area. Various political bigwigs along with hordes of dignitaries were present in Ramnagar Shobhayatra. Large number of devotees lined up by the road sides to catch a glimpse of the traditional procession which has been laced with grandeur in Nagpur for past many years.
Cutting across the religious barriers, Muslim leaders also participated in Shobhayatra, solemnizing communal harmony in the city. Even the Muslim citizens greeted the procession with affection in their areas.

 

Entire city is laden with saffron flags and flyers at many prominent places giving a saffron look to the Orange City.

Those present in the Ramnagar shobhayatra include Nagpur MP Vilas Muttemwar, Rajendra Mulak, Ajay Sancheti, Mayor Anil Sole and Anis Ansari.

Traffic remained squeezed up on the roads where shobhayatras were taken out.
