Weird: Two women “hypnotized,” robbed in Pardi

Nagpur: In a weird incident, three miscreants including a woman and a minor boy, “hypnotized” and robbed two women of valuables in Pardi police area here on Thursday afternoon.

The victims, Thagiyabai Genduram Verma (45), resident of Plot No. 45, Bhandewadi, and her sister-in-law Meera (32), work as labourers. On Thursady, around 12.30 pm, both were returning home walking. Midway near Annabhau Sathe Garden, an unidentified woman (around 45 years), a man (33) and a 16-year old boy stopped them and asked about an ATM. When both Thagiyabai and Meera replied in negative, the three accused took a round around them.

Thereafter, both the women started following the accused instead of going to their home. Later, the three accused offered water to Thagiyabai and Meera. After drinking water, Thagiyabai and Meera fell unconscious and the three miscreants robbed them of gold ornaments worth Rs 29,000.

Pardi ASI Digambar Kothe, based on a complaint lodged by Thagiyabai Verma, booked the three accused under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
