Gondia/Nagpur: One farmer was killed and three others seriously injured when a bear attacked them while they working in the farm on Saturday at around 8 and 9 am in Morgaon Arjuni, Gondia district. The injured have been referred to Nagpur. The incident took place in Itkheda village. The village is close to the jungle.
In the morning hours the farmers were working in their fields when suddenly a bear came from the jungle and attacked the farmers. In this attack four farmers were seriously injured. Soon after attacking the bear again went back to the jungle. On getting the news the villagers came to the spot and took the injured to Primary Health Centre (PHC). While on his way to PHC Keshav Zilpe breathed his last.
The three others Mahadeo Lonare, Bhagadkar and his son were taken to PHC. From here they were referred to Nagpur. Soon the injured were shifted to Nagpur.
