Nagpur: A 10-year-old boy died and his 19-year-old cousin was injured when a speeding tractor hit their motorcycle from behind which they were riding on. The mishap occurred at Mangalmurti Chowk in Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station area late Saturday night.
Ojas Narendra Bonde (19) was riding the motorcycle (MH-31/VS-1705) while Yasharth Ajay Bonde (10), a resident of Shivangaon, was riding pillion on the motorcycle. When they were passing through Mangalmurti Chowk, a speeding tractor (HR-25/J-5082) came from behind at great speed and hit the two-wheeler. Ojas and Yasharth fell on the road and sustained injuries. They were rushed to a hospital where Yasharth succumbed to the injuries.

The tractor driver Vickeyram Pappuram Rao (35), a resident of Bathinda district of Punjab was booked by Rana Pratap Nagar Police under Sections 279, 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 134 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation is on.
