Nagpur: A two-member team from Canada comprising Consul General in Mumbai Jordan Reeves and Leonard Reil, Consul – Political, Economic and Public Affairs at Consulate General in Mumbai visited Deekshabhoomi. During their visit, the Canada team took ‘darshan’ of Bhagwan Buddha’s Asthi Kalash and garlanded statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
At the outset, Trustee of Deekshabhoomi Smarak Samiti Vilas Gajghate welcomed the dignitaries by presenting them bouquet. Present on the occasion were NMC PRO Ashok Kolhatkar, Dr Arun Joseph, Dr Shailesh Bahadure, Dilip Tandle, Sidharth Mhaiskar, Dr Gajanan Dhande, Satish Mane and others. Dr Shailesh Bahadure apprised the Canadian team about the importance of Deekshabhoomi.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Canadian team visited Nagpur Municipal Corporation to get information regarding Smart and Sustainable City Nagpur. Mayor Nanda Jichkar welcomed them by presenting bouquet and plant saplings.
