Three youths were charged with molestation after they misbehaved with a 28-year-old woman and thrashed her husband. The incident occurred at around 10.20 pm on Sunday.
Hudkeshwar police said the woman was busy washing plates in a tea stall when the three youths, Dilip Bahalram Shahu (22), a resident of Sonegaon; Suraj and an unidentified youth approached the woman, hurled profanities at her. The youths threatened to kill the woman and later pulled her hairs. The youths attacked her husband when he intervened to save his wife and showered him with punches and kicks. The youths then damaged a nearby tea stall and later fled the spot.
Hudkeshwar police have registered an offence under Sections 294, 323, 506 (b), 354, 427, and 34 of the IPC and booked the accused.
