An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 on the Richter scale hit Palghar region in Maharashtra on Sunday at around 5.51 pm.
The epicentre of the quake, at a depth of around 10 km, was located at latitude 19.9 degrees North and longitude 72.8 degrees East.
Two earthquakes, within three hours, jolted the quake-prone area in January this year.
