Nagpur: Gittikhadan Police of Nagpur on Thursday booked three individuals for defrauding a senior citizen by fraudulently selling his plot to a couple for Rs 33 lakh using forged documents.
The accused have been identified as Purshottam Bhaiyyaji Tupat, a resident of Kamptee near Bajrang Park Hanuman Mandir; Praveen Moreshwar Sahare, a resident of Zingabai Takli; and Pranay Dheeraj Ghatole, a resident of Gittikhadan.
The victim, 71-year-old Vijay Raosaheb Sarade, residing at Plot No 5, Prabhadevi Apartment, Somalwada, had purchased Plot No 6 in Osho Puram Society, Mouza Dabha, in 1992. The sale deed was duly executed in Sarade’s name at the time of purchase. Acting on Sarade’s complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 420, 456, 467, 468, 471, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and started a probe.
