3-day Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav, aimed at promoting MSMEs, concludes

Nagpur: The 3-day Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav, aimed at promoting MSMEs in Vidarbha region and to increase the MSMEs on a sustainable basis through the implementation of various schemes and programmes of the Ministry of MSME, concluded on Monday.

The Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav cum Industrial Exhibition & Conference was the initiative of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road, Transport & Highways and was organized by MSME-DI, Nagpur in association with MIA Hingna, Nagpur, BMA Butibori , COSIA and VIA Nagpur from March 12 at MIA House, P-26, MIDC Hingna, Nagpur.

The valedictory function was held on March 14. Sulekhatai Kumbhare, former State Minister, Member of National Commission for Minorities and Founder of Dragon Palace, Ravindra Thakre, IAS, Commissioner, Tribal Development was the chief guest during the function. P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI, Maharashtra presided over the function. C G Shegaonkar, President, MIDC Industries Association, Hingna, Pradeep Khandelwal, President, Butibori Manufacturers Association, Butibori, were the other dignitaries on the dais.

Sulekhatai Kumbhare congratulated MSME-DI Nagpur and all the participants and said that Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav will definitely help in development of MSMEs in Vidarbha region with the handholding support from MSME-DI, and industries associations. Similarly, MSMEs will also benefit from the vendor development programmes. She stressed that there is a need for women empowerment and women should be economically independent and that will be possible only when women enter into entrepreneurship.

In his address, Ravindra Thakare lauded MSME and appreciated all the CPSUs and MSEs who participated for their overwhelming response to the Expo and said that MSME-DI is creating awareness amongst the prospective entrepreneurs of Vidarbha region about entrepreneurship by organizing such types of innovative programmes. He said these types of programmes and Industrial Expo are necessary to encourage the prospective and existing entrepreneurs to enter into entrepreneurship and become self-reliant. And which will also help in growth of industries in the region and generate employment.

P.M. Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI Maharashtra while addressing the gathering congratulated the participants for their huge response. He said that this type of Industrial Expo and Buyers-sellers meet helps in creating awareness amongst the people of Vidarbha regarding MSEs as well as CPSUs will get local vendors to meet their annual requirements. The objective was to provide a common platform to the CPSUs and MSMEs to come together and benefit from each other. It provided an opportunity to MSMEs to showcase their products to the industry and policy makers and also provided an opportunity to MSEs to tie up with large industries under Vendor development programme.

C G Shegaonkar, President, MIA, Hingna said that the Industrial expo showcased wide range of products and services of MSMEs, spares and services required by CPSUs and large enterprises which benefitted to all the sectors . He also stressed that the Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav cum Industrial Expo helped the MSMEs of Vidarbha region which will definitely help in the growth of industries in all the districts of Vidarbha. He thanked all the participants for their huge response.

Pradeep Khandelwal, President, BMA, Butibori also expressed his views during the programme. He said that in future also such types of programmes will be organized jointly by MSME-DI with the support of all local industries associations and efforts will be made that there will be growth of industries and employment generation will be there in Vidarbha.

Around 67 stalls displayed their products and services during the Industrial Expo which received huge response from the people and helped in creating awareness about entrepreneurship. Loan Mela was also organized during the programme where representatives from various nationalized banks were invited. Similarly, Meet on Start-ups and Investors was also organized where the start ups interacted with the investors about their innovative ideas, products etc. Certificates were distributed to the participants during the valedictory function.

The programme was co-ordinated by Rahul K Mishra, Asstt. Director, and conducted by Praful Umare, Asstt. Director, MSME-DI Nagpur, The programme ended with vote of thanks.
