Nagpur: Three criminals went on rampage and damaged several cars when a trader refused to meet their extortion money demand. The goons also held out a threat to kill the trader for his refusal to part with the money. Cops have booked the accused and searching for them.
The accused Akash Tarade and his two accomplices, late night on Friday, called the trader Neeraj Vinayakrao Rokde (37) on his mobile phone and demanded Rs 10,000 as extortion money if he has to carry out his business at Jagnade Square. When Neeraj refused to meet their demand the three goons threatened to kill him and later stormed Amore Car Bazaar, the establishment run by Neeraj at Jagnade Square. The three accused went on rampage and broke glasses of several cars parked at Neeraj’s establishment. Neeraj was put at loss of Rs 70,000. Undeterred by the violent act of accused, the Imambada resident Neeraj Rokde filed a complaint with Kotwali police in this connection.
Senior PSI Athawale booked the three accused Akash Tarade and his two accomplices under Sections 387, 506(B), 504, 427 of IPC and launched a search to nab them.
