Nagpur: An unidentified miscreant decamped with three laptops and a mobile phone collectively worth Rs 59,000 from a flat where five students were staying in MIDC police jurisdiction in Nagpur. The suspect has reportedly been caught on a CCTV in the area.
The complainant, Mayur Raju Parbat (24), a native of Warora, district Chandrapur, but currently staying at Satyakrishna Apartment, 2nd Floor, Meshram Layout, MIDC police area, told police that he along with Badal Anil Walde (24), Swapnil Gaekwad (24), Ashish Tembhekar, and Abhijit Bobde stays in the aforementioned flat. Mayur, Badal, and Swapnil are second year students of Raisoni College, Digdoh. Ashish Tembhekar is in private service while Abhijit Bobde is MBA second year student of Priyadarshani College.
On May 13 night, Abhijit Bobde did not turn at the flat. The remaining four students slept in different rooms. However, when Mayur woke at 9.30 am the next day, he found his laptop and mobile phone missing. Badal also found his laptop and mobile phone missing. When inquired, Ashish Tembhekar said he went to gym at 6.30 am and had kept flat door open. Abhijit Bobde also returned to the flat around 7 am and found the flat door open.
Taking advantage of the open door, an unidentified person burgled three laptops and a mobile phone of the students. However, a CCTV reportedly captured the suspect and police are searching for him after registering an offence.
