35-year old motorcyclist loses life while trying to save kite flying boy in Dhantoli area of city

Nagpur: A motorcyclist lost his life while trying to save a kite flying boy in Dhantoli area of the city. The accident occurred on Wednesday. The critically injured motorcyclist died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

According to police, the victim, Dwarkaprasad Umesh Patle (35), resident of Plot No. 17, Sukhsagar Society, Nagpur, was returning home from Dhanteshwari Slums, Dhantoli around 2.15 pm on Wednesday. While proceeding, a kite flying boy suddenly came in front of Dwarkaprasad Patle. In an attempt to save the boy, Dwarkaprasad applied brakes with full force. However, in the process, he lost balance of his motorcycle and crashed on the road. The critically injured Dwarkaprasad was rushed to the nearby Colombia Hospital but he died at about 6 pm ob Thursday while undergoing treatment.

Dhantoli API Karande, based on a complaint filed by Rajkumar Yadavrao Tembhre of Friends Colony, registered a case of accidental death and investigating the matter further.
