Nagpur – On the first day of the nomination process for the Maharashtra Assembly general elections, a total of 462 nomination forms were collected by aspiring candidates. The nomination process commenced today, following the publication of the election notification on October 22.
In various constituencies across the district, the collection of nomination forms was distributed as follows: 28 forms from Katol, 18 from Saoner, 24 from Hingna, 35 from Umred, 41 from Nagpur South-West, 38 from Nagpur South, 47 from Nagpur East, 99 from Nagpur Central, 33 from Nagpur West, 52 from Nagpur North, 29 from Kamptee, and 18 from Ramtek.
Despite the collection of forms, no official nominations were filed on the first day. The nomination process will continue in the coming days as the election season progresses.
