Nagpur News: Two incidents of attempt to murder were reported in Nagpur pointing an increase in the crime.
According to police, the first incident occurred at about 1400 hours of August 17. The victim Vishal Raju Lokhande (22), a resident of Plot No. 210, Kukde Layout, Nagpur, was standing at “Abhilasha Paan Thela”, near Chandramani Garden. At the same time, the three youths Vicky Vilas Patil (21), resident of Chandramani Nagar, Yunus alias Jadu Anil Pande (22), resident of Chandramani Nagar, and Musa Ravindra alias Prakash Ravindra Deo (19), also resident of Chandramani Nagar, asked Vishal an address of a girl in the area. When Vishal refused to divulge the address, Vicky Lokhande whipped out a knife and stabbed Vishal on his stomach injuring him critically. The intent of Vicky was to kill Vishal and his two accomplices helped him in carrying out the offence.
The Ajni police, acting on a complaint filed by Vishal, booked Vicky Vilas Patil, Yunus alias Jadu Anil Pande, and Musa Ravindra alias Prakash Ravindra Deo under Sections 307, 34 and Sub-Sections of 4+25,27 of the IPC and arrested the three goons. The Ajni PSI Chaudhary is investigating the matter further. Vishal has been admitted in the Government Hospital and is undergoing treatment for his stab wounds.

In the second incident, the victim, Mohd Rizwan Mohd Ansari, (22), resident of Mominpura, Ansar Nagar, Nagpur, was returning home after purchasing “Kharra” (Mixture of tobacco and betel nuts) on his Activa (MH-31/DR 4163). When Mohd Rizwan was midway, two youths Salim and Javed, both residents of Guard Line, Nagpur, stopped him and started fighting with Mohd Rizwan over a murder that occurred one and a half year ago. Salim whipped out a “Desi Katta” (Country Pistol) and Javed a knife. Javed attacked Mohd Rizwan with knife and tried to kill him by striking him with the knife. Mohd Rizwan was injured with stab injuries.
Tehsil police have booked both the assused under Sections 307, 34 of the IPC and the PSI Kondawar has launched a search for the accused and investigating the matter further.
