Nagpur: A gang of seven motorcycle-borne youths attacked three persons and attempted to kill them at Matadar Chowk in Ajni Police Station area of Nagpur.
The victims include Samyank Gopal Wavre (22), his friend Prahlad Prakash Bengale (23), from Mahakali Nagar, and Sunny Raju Masurkar (23) of Savitribai Phule Nagar.

Ajni Police have registered a case of attempted murder against the assailants. According to police, around 11.30 pm on Saturday, Samyank, Prahlad, and Sunny were conversing at Matadar Chowk when seven to eight youths on motorcycles approached them. The assailants inquired about Tejas Ramteke, to which the victims responded that they did not know him. Enraged, the youths attacked the three with sticks and fled. Upon receiving the information, Ajni Police team arrived at the scene and admitted the victims to the Government Medical College and Hospital.
A case under Sections 307, 323, 143, 147, 148, 149 of Indian Penal Code read with Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act was registered by the police. The police have initiated an investigation and are searching for the attackers.
