Nagpur: A group of seven fraudsters, in a well-planned conspiracy and forged documents, grabbed a huge plot of land of a person as well as cheated the State Government in lakhs by way of stamp duty. The accused also duped a housing society in the fraudulent act.
According to police, the seven accused fraudsters have been identified as Leeladhar Ramrao Yadav, resident of Vasan Nagar, Ritesh Avinash Lonare, resident of Jaibhim Nagar, Ramershwari, duplicate Bala Krishna Subramanyam, Rajendra Shrivastav, a bogus person in place of Sachin Shersingh Nahar on behalf of New Vasundhara Housing Society, Ritesh Sunil Varekar, a bogus witness at the time of preparation of the Society’s document, and Vinod Waman Unhale who also stood as bogus witness at the time of preparation of documents of New Vasundhara Housing Society. The group of accused prepared bogus registry of a plot admeasuring 2000 square feet situated at New Vasundhara Housing Society in Mauza Besa.
The original owner of the said plot is Krishna Subramanyam who had made the registry of his plot in 1988. The seven accused thereafter, in connivance with each other, committed a series of frauds by way of preparing forged documents and grabbed the plot worth Rs 20.40 lakh. The accused also deprived the State Government of stamp duty in lakhs by preparing bogus stamps during fraudulent registry of the said plot.
The Hudkeshwar API Chaugule, based on a complaint lodged by Pradeep Bhaurao Mendhe, has registered a case against the seven accused under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 472, 473, 474, 34 of IPC and launched a probe into the matter.
