Nagpur: A seven year old boy was killed and his father injuredseriously when a speeding tipper truck hit motorcycle onwhich the boy was riding pillion at Naya Godam area of Kamptee.
The driver of the truck was arrested by the police, New Kampteepolice said.
The deceased was identified as Jiyan Ahmed Mohd Jafaruddin(7), a resident of New Kamptee. The accident occurred late Fridaynight when Jiyan was riding pillion on the motorcycle of his fatherSultan Ahmed (40).
The truck came from behind and hit the motorcycle near NayaGodam. Jiyan and his father sustained grievous head injuries inthe mishap.

They were admitted to hospital where Jiyan breathed his last.
The police arrested truck driver Ramprasad Shekulal Kesal (41), aresident of Walni Mine, Khaparkheda and booked him underSections 279, 337, 304 (a), 427 of Indian Penal Code read withSections 134, 177 and 184 of Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigations are under way.
