Nagpur: A 70-year old woman, who was warming water in front of her house in Pachpaoli area, was hit by a dangerously driven car on Monday noon. She died before medical help could be provided to her. The car driver has reportedly been arrested.
The deceased, Gulabibai Ganpatrao Chavde, resident of Tandapeth, was warming water on a hearth in front of her house around 12 noon on Monday.

At the same time, a recklessly driven Omni car (MH-32/C 3126) hit her with forceful impact. As a result, Gulabibai suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.
Pachpaoli PSI Raut, based on a complaint lodged by Rajani Prabhakar Kachhane (50), booked the car driver Suresh Ramdas Chavde (68) of Tandapeth under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC read with Sections 3(1), 181, 146, 196 of the IPC and reportedly arrested him. Further probe is underway.
