700 gms of gold seized at Nagpur Airport worth Rs 17 lakh

Central Bard of Excise and Customs has seized 700 gms of  gold biscuits and bars worth Rs 17 lakh from a passenger coming from Sharjah. The incident took place on early Sunday morning at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at Sonegaon.

Sources informed that the incident came to light while Central Board of Excise and Customs were checking the passenger’s bag and found 700 gms gold biscuits and bars. The seized gold is suspected to be worth Rs 17 lakh.
