According to reports, Sulkabai and her daughter-in-law were at loggerheads for a long time. She too hit Sulkabai with a stick while Munnalal was assaulting the victim with a stone.

After her death, Sulkabai’s son, Kisan, helped the two wrap the body in a plastic sheet and dispose of it near a hillock. Cops took Kisan Jondhru Chachere (50), a native of village Chopa, taluka Goregaon, district Gondia. Kisan Chachre’s son Munnalal (23) and a woman, who, too, were involved in the crime are at large.

On the fateful night, Sulkabai had a heated argument with some women residing at the farm over some petty issue. Munnalal, grandson of Sulkabai, lost his temper and smashed her head with a boulder. Sulkabai was killed on the spot. In a bid to destroy the evidence, accused Munnalal, his father Kisan and a woman wrapped the octogenarian’s body in a plastic bag and threw it at an isolated area near Ramdongri.

Police registered a case under Sections 302, 201, 34 of the IPC and launched a search for Munnalal and the woman.
