Nagpur: Women in India often spend their whole lives constrained within the four walls of their houses while striving to make the house into a cozy home. They forget themselves and struggle in an unending effort to cater to the needs and comforts of their children and husband. Kitty parties are usually a time when wives avail the space and the time meant solely for themselves without the care and concerns of the children and husbands.
The kitty party hosted by Jia Kriplani was unique where, unlike the usual practice of eating, singing, gossip and going back home, the kitty party had a fashion parade, a jury that assigned titles to the ladies on various factors which included attire, looks, etc.

This title awarding was followed by the beautiful lasses sashaying and performing a ramp walk to the Hindi Movie number “Fashion Ka Hai Yeh Jalwa….”. A lot of hilarity, competitive spirit, fun and fellowship marked the event. The attendees enjoyed a time away from the worries and tensions of their day to day chores and let their hair down for a few moments of immense pleasure and gaiety.
Heer Asnani was awarded the title of ‘Best Dressed’ for her beautiful cream coloured long and flowing evening gown type Anarkali number.
Every lady who was present in the kitty party was ‘dressed to kill’ in their immaculate dresses which varied from Ethnic wear like Anarkali to more modern and western wear like evening gowns and skirt-top numbers.
