Nagpur: An unidentified trickster stole four cheques from the company office and withdrew Rs 2,66,540/- by forging signature of the account holder in Jaripatka area.
According to police sources, the victim Rajkumar Agrawal has a company office Ishan Mineral Private Limited in Kadbi Square. On August 14, 2015, some trickster stole four cheque leaves from his cheque book kept in the office. This Cheque Book was on his wife’s name. The unidentified trickster had forged the signature of his wife and withdrew a sum of Rs 2,66,540/- from IDBI, Sadar Branch.
When Rajkumar Agrawal realized that he has been swindled of Rs 2,66,540/-, he lodged a complaint in Jaripatka Police Station. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim Rajkumar Agrawal, Police Sub Inspector Dongre of the Jaripatka Police has registered a case against unidentified accused under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and has initiated an investigation into the matter.
