Nagpur: Resorting to a novel modus operandi, some miscreants pulled out a sleeping man’s trouser dangling to a hanger from an open window and took out cash of Rs 10,000 and key of his car from pockets of the trouser. Later, the burglars also zoomed away with the car and thus relieved the man of booty to the tune of Rs 2.35 lakh. The miscreants used a bamboo stick to pull out the pant from the open window. The unusual incident occurred on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. Cops have launched a search of the weird thieves.
The complainant, 46-year old Anup Meghraj Vrudhani’s father and other family members were sleeping in their Bank Colony, Jaripatka residence. Taking advantage of the open invitation, some unidentified burglars, between 11 pm of Wednesday and 8 am of Thursday, pulled out the trouser from the hanger and then took out Rs 10,000 and the car key kept in trouser pockets. Later, the car (MH-31/DV 9840) of the Vrudhani family was also stolen. The unusual theft cost the family Rs 2,35,000. The incident came to notice of the Vrudhani family in the morning. They immediately filed a complaint with Jaripatka police.
