Nagpur: With hardly five days to go got the Presidential visit, the security personnel from the Central Government and the State Government have swung into action to ensure that the President’s visit goes without any untoward incident.
On September 10, 2015, the top officials of Special Protection Group visited Nagpur and conducted an in-depth visual scanning of all the venues where the President would be visiting. Inspector General of Police Amitabh Gupta from the Special Protection Group visited the venues where the President would be visiting.
While speaking to Nagpur Today, Deputy Commissioner of Police Deepali Masirkar said that Joint Commissioner of Police Rajwardhan Sinha had issued directives to all the Police Stations to make preventive arrests in view of the President’s visit. This is made to ensure that the habitual criminals are locked up and crime is under control.
Many routes which will be used by the President were given face-lift. The civic authorities are seen working on war-footing to get the city geared up for the President’s visit.
