Two girls molested in their own houses in separate incidents, one accused arrested

Nagpur: In outrageous acts, two girls were molested in their own houses by two lewd youths in separate incidents. One of the accused has been arrested while another is booked and being searched.

In the first incident, the victimized 17-year old girl, in her police complaint, said that on Friday around 1.30 pm her cousin uncle and the accused Vishnu Arjun Shahu (23), resident of Navin Nagar, came at her house for meeting her father. Later, her father and uncle were talking with each other outside the house. Taking the situation as an opportunity, the accused Vishnu Shahu entered her house while she was getting dressed in front of a mirror and caught her from behind. The accused Vishnu indulged in obscene acts and thus outraged modesty of her.

Taken aback by the Vishnu’s acts, the girl started shouting for help and soon got it from her father and uncle. The two men caught hold of the accused and later handed over him to Kalamna police. Cops booked Vishnu Shahu under Sections 354, 452 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 12(C), 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested him.

In another incident, the 17-year old girl was put to shame by a 34-year old man when she went to terrace of her house for drying up clothes. The girl’s mother, in her complaint, told police that the accused Nilesh alias Pintu Gedam (34), resident of Yashodhara Nagar, molested her daughter when she went up the terrace for draining of clothes.

The accused caught her from behind and resorted to vulgar actions and thus molested the girl. On the basis of the plaint, Yashodhara Nagar API Bawankar registered a case under Section 354 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 12, 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act against the accused Nilesh Gedam and searching for him.
