Nagpur: Unidentified miscreants struck at a liquor godown in Wadi area and decamped with different brands of wine worth over Rs 2.37 lakh. The theft occurred between Saturday night and Monday morning.
According to details, the complainant Chhevidas Bapurao Vanjari (55), resident of Sarvashri Nagar, Chakole Layout, Umred Road, told police that he locked his Premier Liquor India Godown, situated in Wadi area, around 8 pm on Saturday and went home.
Between Saturday night and Monday morning, burglars struck at the godown and laid their hands on a stock of Blender Pride Whisky, Fuel Vodka, 100 Piper Whisky, Imperial Blue Whisky, Master Blender Select Whisky and other brands collectively valued at Rs 2,37,699. The liquor theft came to notice when Chhevidas came to godown on Monday morning. He immediately lodged a complaint with Wadi police in this connection.
PSI Jadhav registered a case under Sections 461, 380 of IPC against the unidentified burglars and launched a search to nab them.
