Gold and valuables worth Rs 45.74 lakh stolen from a flat

Nagpur: Under the jurisdiction of Sonegaon police station, 4 thieves broke open the lock of a flat and stole away AC, Fridge, table and chairs, almirah, sofa set, Allopathic medicines, gold ornaments, educational certificates and other household valuables worth Rs 45.74 lakh.

On the complaint filed by Arvind Ramkrishna Nene (38), resident of Somalwada, the Sonegaon police has registered a case of theft against Amit Deshpande of Hindustan Colony, Gopal (40), Bandu (40) and Prashant (34). The police has also registered a case of cheating against two accused including a woman.

According to police, Arvind Nene, resident of Satyam Apartment, Somalwada had purchased a flat No. 303 at Sakshi Spring Apartment, Manish Nagar. He had paid Rs 48,60,000 to Amit Deshpande and Mandatai Deshpande. Arvind told police that even after taking money, Amit and Mandatai Deshapnde did not get the flat registered, nor they returned the money.

Arvind had brought his household articles and kept them in the said flat. He told the police that accused Amit Deshande, Gopal, Bandu and Prashant broke open the lock of his flat No. 303 and took away all valuables worth Rs 45.74 lakh. Police has thus registered a case of theft against Amit Deshpande, Gopal, Bandu and Prashant, it has also registered a case of cheating against Amit Deshpande and Mandatai Deshpande. Further investigations are underway.
