Girls were presenting erotic dances to the tune of music
Nagpur: Ganeshpeth police, here in the city, have arrested Madira Bar owner, its manager and three dance girls during a raid carried out on Monday midnight. Remarking sharply on it, the State Home Minister having examined the video of the act said that a firm action would be taken against the erring accused.
Though Maharashtra government is bent up on not allowing the dance bars in state again, the defaulting dance bars are stealthily being run, as exposed in the video shoot of Madira Bar. The bar did seek permission for musical performance with due licence, but under the pretext of musical feat, the bar gravely erred in allowing erotic dances by bar-girls.
The video shoot was made by one of the customers of Madira Bar, and the matter was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister and the State Home Minister at once. No sooner was the police intimated about it than it came on its toes and acted swiftly by carrying out a raid on the bar. The police made a panchanama and arrested Madira Bar owner Neeraj Gupta, manager and 3 girls.
Ganeshpeth police have registered a case under section 33(A) of Bombay Police Act against the accused.
State Home Minister Ram Shinde has expressed his support to the police action against Madira Bar and also asserted that no dance-bar would ever be tolerated in Maharashtra.
