Nagpur: In a sensational incident, two kids, a 4-year old boy and 8-year old girl, were reportedly kidnapped from the reputed and oldest orphanage in the city, Shraddhanand Anathalay. The boy has been identified as Karan Ramchandra Shivankar (4). Identity of the missing girl has not been disclosed. According to sources, the two kids left the Anathalaya around 2.30 pm of Friday without informing the authorities manning the orphanage and since then went missing. The incident created flutters in the oldest orphanage of Nagpur. The rattled authorities of the Shraddhanand Anathalay scanned every possible place from one corner to other corner of the city but could not trace the missing kids. Finally, Pratibha Shyam Divanji (48), Warden of the Anathalay lodged a complaint with Pratap Nagar Police Station.
API M S Munde, in accordance with the Supreme Court order that if any minor boy or girl goes missing, then the case should be treated as that of kidnapping, registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and has mounted a massive hunt to trace the kids.
12-year old boy abducted:
In another incident, a 12-year old from Government Children’s Remand Home was reportedly abducted. It is learnt that the boy, Ramesh Rajeshwar Yadav, went missing between 7 and 8 am of Thursday. The panicky authorities of the Remand Home searched Ramesh at all possible places but to no avail. Finally, Farida Usman Attar (50), Superintendent of the Government Children’s Remand Home, registered a missing complaint with Jaripatka Police Station.
PSI Dongre, following the Supreme Court order, registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and has launched a search to locate the Ramesh.
