Water supply normalized in North Nagpur areas
Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW) have not only successfully completed a major leakage repairing work taken up in emergency (breakdown) on 800 mm dia Pench- IV Godhani WTP feeder line, that occurred at Khushi Nagar square, Jaripatka Ring road, Near Mangalwari Bazar but also resumed water supply in North Nagpur especially from five ESR’s of Nari, Jaripatka, Indora- I and Indora-II and Bazonbagh ESR’s on Dec 30 evening.
It must be mentioned here NMC-OCW detected a major leakage on December 29 during night hours at Khushi Nagar square, Jaripatka Ring road, Near Mangalwari Bazar on 800 mm dia Pench- IV Godhani WTP feeder line.
Announcing it as breakdown, a special team led by technical experts from OCW and NMC worked throughout night for almost 24 hours on the site and successfully plugged the major leakage.
However, following this breakdown water supply in North Nagpur especially from five ESR’s areas of of Nari, Jaripatka, Indora- I and Indora-II and Bazonbagh ESR’s remained affected on December 30 in morning hours.
The inconvenience caused to citizens of North Nagpur due to affected supply conditions following the major breakdown on Wednesday, Dec 30, 2015 is deeply regretted.
NMC-OCW also thanked Citizens as well as Hon. Public representatives from North Nagpur area for their valuable co-operation and support during breakdown period.
