Nagpur: Around 153 passengers of Nagpur-Delhi Air India flight 469 had a narrow escape on Saturday, when one of the tyres of the aircraft burst while landing at Delhi airport. The flight which took off from Nagpur at 10 am on Saturday morning landed in trouble as it touched down ground at Delhi airport at 11.30 am. The ground crew rushed towards the flight as soon as it came to a screeching halt.
The pilot reportedly showed alertness and contained possible damage. Nobody was reportedly hurt in the incident, however, panic grew strong among the passengers boarding the flight.
The aircraft remained on the runway for much longer time after the incident. Later it was announced that the plane was being pulled by other machine. Fire brigade, ambulance and other machinery pumped into action on the run way to clear the movements of other flights and reach the passengers to safety.
