Nagpur Today.
The entire venue was decorated aptly in sync with the theme of Mafia had every invitee bedazzled right from the entrance. The host couple Shravan and Ritu Kukreja made sure that the right props and Pictures on Twitter and Instagram display a lot of guns, roses, handcuffs, gloves, fur, placards displaying many mafia themes and statements.
On one corner a big cushioned chair was kept and aptly named ‘Mogambo Kush Hua” which was used by almost every guest to get photographed or selfie.
One aspect that was clearly very different from any party was that the Disc Jockey playing loud music was prominently missing. Instead, a band named Barood (gun-powder) was playing some very mafia themed songs and music.
Most of the invitees were attired in the traditional mafia attire. The men and gals chose charcoal black attire. The men with suits and bow ties, where as the gals dressed in full black coloured knee-length skirts or evening gowns. The hall was decorated with Guns and Roses all around. The bouncers were attired in black attire with fake guns, one bouncer was attired in Police Uniform. The waiters and the bar-tenders were attired in prisoner uniforms.
Laughter and gaiety spruced the evening at regular intervals. The programme followed time schedule and as planned followed clock-wise precision. Like the unique theme there was a unique performance by “Barood” added spice to the party. The moment the band started performing old bollywood numbers on mafia theme, while some invitees started dancing, others chose to sit in the sofas and enjoy watching others dance.
