Nagpur: In another freak accident which occurred in Nipani Village falling within the jurisdiction of Sonegaon Police Station, an unidentified trucked rammed into a stationery truck on April 15, 2016. According to sources, the stationery truck was standing next to a set of electric poles which hosted the electric transformer and distribution box. The distribution box fell down on the truck under impact of the collision and caught fire.
Within moments, the entire truck was reduced to ashes. The entire cabin, the tyres, the wooden panels etc was reduced to ashes. The truck which was reduced to ashes bore RTO No. MH-31 / CB-4202.
The truck which had rammed into the stationery truck reversed the truck and sped away. On receipt of information, the cops of Sonegaon Police Station rushed to the spot. After investigating the Police Sub Inspector M V Wankhede of Sonegaon Police Station has registered a case under Sections 279, 427, Sub-section 3 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating further.
