Nagpur: The B.Ed. 1st semester (Winter-2019) year exams of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University which were cancelled back in March 2020, due to novel Corona Virus (Covid-19) outbreak, will now commence from November 9, a notification issued by university stated.
The move has drawn a tremendous amount of criticism from students, who are also planning agitation as students (except the final year) were meant to be promoted.

It is pertinent to mention that back in May; Education Minister of Maharashtra, Uday Samant had announced that only the final-year students of universities and colleges will have to appear for the exams. Other students will be promoted without exams.
Following the statement of the Minister, the students had started preparing for the next semesters. However, the arbitrary move of conducting the exams of the first semester has left students in stir.
