Speaking to Nagpur Today, PI Pradeep Suryawanshi discussed how Wadi Police have undertaken several preventive measures to curb mishaps in the vicinity. PI Suryawanshi has amplified preventive actions against notorious criminals in the area following the directives of Commissioner of Police (CP), Amitesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 1, Noorul Hasan. The move has proved pivotal as since PI Pradeep Suryawanshi’s took his charge, Wadi Police Station has witnessed significant drop in anti-social activities.

Special nakabandis to curb mishaps:
Acknowledging the rampant surge in road accidents under Wadi Police Station jurisdiction, we conduct daily nakabandis during peak hours to reduce the speed of the vehicles. The National Highway 6 is accident prone areas owing to constant and reckless commuting. Hence, we’ve risen patrolling on this avenue. I’ve also instructed officials to not harass the motorist during the drive. This move has helped us a lot in curbing accidents, says PI Suryawanshi.

Preventive actions to curb irregularities in the area:
“In a bid to enforce strict law and order situation under Wadi Police Station jurisdiction cops have launched organized crackdown against record criminals, illegal liquor and gambling businesses in the area under the supervision of CP Amitesh Kumar and DCP Noorul Hasan. Wadi cops have externed three goons, to ensure safety of residents, PI Suryawanshi said. “Wadi Police have initiated around 100 preventative actions against record criminals this year,” PI Pradeep Suryawanshi mentioned.

“Apart from Shantata Meetings, Mohalla Meetings, and Senior Citizen Meetings to hear their grievances, Wadi cops make sure to interact with citizens, local corporators, social workers and business owners to acknowledge their queries.
