Camera traps set to find crocodile

Nagpur: Days after pictures and videos of a crocodile allegedly claimed from a nullah behind Sahaniwas Patrakar near Gawalipura, Dharampeth went viral, Clcamera traps have been set up at some places in the nullah area to search for the animal.

Forest Department had sent rescue teams to the nullah area to search for the crocodile. Although they have been searching for the crocodile for the last three days, the crocodile has not been seen nor the whereabouts of this crocodile have been ascertained yet.

Though, camera traps have been set up at some places in the nullah area to search for the animal. If there is a picture of the crocodile in it, further measures can be taken to catch it.

Citizens should not venture into the nullah for fishing or other reasons the deputy conservator of forest of Nagpur forest division has appealed.

Citizens should report to the forest department’s rescue centre if they see a crocodile.

The forest department has also appealed to the citizens living in the settlements in the nullah area to be vigilant.
