200 Omicron cases in India, Maha leads with 54

India has a total of 200 cases of the Omicron variant, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said today. Maharashtra, Delhi and Telangana are the top three states with the most Omicron cases. See the table alongside.

Meanwhile, the active Covid-19 cases in the country decline to 79,097. There has been a single day rise of 5,326 new Covid infections and 453 fatalities which push India’s tally of cases to 3,47,52,164. The number of people who have died of Covid so far are 4,78,007.
