Nagpur: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Maharashtra has banned the delivery of food items in printed paper. An order has also been issued in this regard. It has been said in the order that no food item should be sold in printed paper. Because its ink is very dangerous for health.

All the businessmen of the state have been ordered to immediately stop giving food items in any such paper. Especially items like Vada Pav, Poha, Sweets and Bhel. Paper is used instead of plates on the carts. According to the order, strict action will be taken against those who give such goods.
Most of the roadside food items are wrapped in paper. The FDA said that if it is not stopped immediately, then sellers should be ready for strict action. The FDA said in the order that the ink used in the printed paper contains chemical adulteration. Therefore, edible items cannot be given in such paper.
FDA Joint Commissioner Shivaji Desai said that in the year 2016, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India had issued an advisory for the entire country. In this advisory, a ban was also imposed on wrapping food items in printed paper.
There have been many complaints in this regard that even now food items are being given in the newspapers. Hence this order has been issued.
