Nagpur: Acting on information, the Social Security Wing of Nagpur Police Crime Branch on Thursday busted a sex racket being operated at Big Boss Unisex Salon under Yashodhara Police jurisdiction. A male pimp was arrested and one victim girl was rescued by the raiding cops.
The Social Security Wing received information that an accused named Sameer Kawdu Shrivas (34), resident of Vinoba Bhave Nagar, near Water Tank, was luring the needy girls with money and forcing them into flesh trade. The accused Shrivas, after trapping the girls, was ‘supplying’ them to the clients at Big Boss Unisex Salon. The cops first confirmed the information and later laid a trap. A decoy customer was sent to the said Salon who negotiated a ‘deal.’ Following a signal from the decoy customer, the waiting sleuths of the Social Security Wing raided the Big Boss Unisex Salon and rescued a victim girl.

The accused Sameer Shrivas was booked under Sections 4, 5, 6 of Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act and arrested. Later the accused was handed over to Yashodhara Nagar police for further action.
The raid was conducted by Senior PI Kavita Isarkar, head constable Anil Ambade, NPC Sheikh Rashid, sepoys Bhushan Zade, Manish Ramteke, woman police sepoy Rubina Sheikh under the guidance of DCP (Crime) Chinmay Pandit and ACP (Crime) Roshan Pandit.
