Nagpur: Senior BJP leader and former Maharashtra Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has blasted the MVA Government for the electricity crisis in the state. “The then Government had announced on December 12, 2012 that Maharashtra will be made a load-shedding free state. But the announcement remained just words. But the Devendra Fadnavis Government, through modern technology, turned the state load-shedding free. Today, due to internal bickering in the three MVA parties, a fund of Rs 18,000 from the Energy Ministry is stuck. As a result, the State is facing a severe power crisis. The MVA Government should resolve their differences and save the state from the electricity crisis,” demanded Bawankule.

With the mercury rising and the State in the grip of heatwave, the power demand is at its peak. The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), for the past few days, has resorted to load-shedding in some pockets of Nagpur and other parts of the State, according to reports.
