The woman and her teenage daughter decided to eliminate him in the night hours. When the truck driver fell asleep, the two strangled him to death with a scarf. Soon after, the woman informed her brother on phone that her husband had committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan with the scarf, the police said. The brother reached home with the police. The police performed panchnama of the crime spot. The wife of the deceased told the police that he hanged himself from the ceiling fan.

However, the investigators noticed that dust on the fan was as it is despite the wife’s claim of suicide by hanging. The cops grew suspicious of the woman. As the police received advanced post-mortem reports suggesting death due to strangulation, the woman was rounded up for interrogation. Moreover, the two younger daughters, aged 13 and 15, told police about the violent brawl between their parents. Based on the revealing fact, cops quizzed the woman. The questioning led to the truth coming out about role of the woman and her eldest daughter in the murder.

The accused woman was booked under Sections 302 and 34 of IPC. The police produced the woman in the court and obtained her police custody till April 20. The teenage girl was sent to a child care home.
