Nagpur: Following the notices to a rickety house of former Guardian Minister Dr Nitin Raut in Mangalwari Zone, the squad of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) demolished former’s house on Tuesday.
Notably, with the onset of monsoon, NMC had started demolishing dilapidated structures to prevent loss of life.

On Tuesday, the NMC squad was conducting a demolition drive in Hanuman Mandir Chaoni vicinity in Mangalwari Zone. During the same, they demolished the dilapidated house of Raut.
Raut was served with notices of Section 264 of Maharashtra Municipal Corporation 2012 act. As the owner didn’t comply with NMC’s notice, the civic body swung into action and demolished the house.
